The Northern Access Stage 2 applications are now closed. Congratulations to all applicants. It has been a pleasure supporting you through this Incubation period. We look forward to seeing you at the Solutions Showcase on November 7-10, 2023. Keep an eye out for updates via email on this event!
The resources below will remain available to applicants during the Implementation period.

Northern Access Round Stage 2 Orientation Session:

Watch the Northern Access Round Stage 2 Orientation Session for valuable insights about the application content and the evaluation process by CMHC to assist you in completing your Stage 2 applications.

The On-Demand Project Management Session provides training on project management processes and tools, including budgeting, timeline management and risk management. The session connects these topics to the incubation and implementation plans for Stage 2, supports effective project planning and the fulfilment of CMHC’s requirements, and provides contextual reflections on carrying out project management processes in northern and remote communities.

The Design Thinking workshop provides an introduction to creative and collaborative problem-solving practices and a human-centred approach to design thinking. Learn how to identify key community interests and partners for engagement, and thoughtful practices for approaching engagement in a way that is respectful, relational and collaborative. Apply these learnings to your projects as you further develop your solutions and plans for engagement for your Stage 2 application and beyond.

Learn how to create a robust and resilient implementation plan for your project as required for your Stage 2 application through the Scoping and Sustainability workshop. This workshop equips you with practical tools to identify and break down your project into essential building blocks and offers valuable tips on the necessary steps to take now for long-term success.

The Application Writing Workshop offers guidance on writing a strong Northern Access Round Stage 2 application. The workshop features a walk through of the Stage 2 application with CMHC’s Jessica Beketa as well as proposal writing tips offered by grant writing expert Amanda Buffalo.

The Communications Workshop provides valuable tips on defining your communication objectives, identifying your intended audience and messages, and using storyboarding and other communication methods to create a compelling presentation.
