Mike Davis

Mike is the CEO of Davis Pier, a social impact consultancy with offices in Halifax and Toronto. He has worked with government and community sector partners across Canada, Europe, Africa, and Asia for over 20 years. He is highly regarded for his ability to design solutions to complex public policy issues and see them through to implementation. Mike leads Davis Pier’s social innovation efforts — helping government by using behavioural science, service design, and evidence-based policy approaches to improve policymaking and program design.
Mike has extensive experience in the affordable housing sector, working across all levels of government and in community. This work includes program design to support housing transformation programs, asset management strategies, and innovative financing models.
Mike holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Industrial Engineering from Dalhousie University and a Masters in Behavioural Science from the London School of Economics. He is certified as a Professional Engineer and Project Management Professional. Mike is also a Distinguished Fellow with the Dalhousie’s Faculty of Management.
Mike serves as Vice Chair of Kids Help Phone’s Board of Directors and has been named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs.
